A quick trip on I-75 from Detroit will bring you to Shepherd’s Hollow in Clarkston, Michigan. This stunning location has become a premier venue for Michigan weddings, and when you see the pictures below, you’ll know exactly why we love a Shepherd’s Hollow Wedding.

For the ceremony, couples can get married in the midst of Shepherd’s Hollow’s breathtaking pine forest. After your guests are seated in the fountain area, you can enter down the main stairwell with these glorious trees as your backdrop. The scenery is reminiscent of the grand redwoods in California.
Besides the meticulously manicured grounds, Shepherd’s Hollow’s glass house is an architectural centerpiece. We love how this venue specifically chose a glass, minimalist structure to emphasize the beauty of nature. Rather than detract from the pines, the glass house enhances the surroundings. In the evening, you can dance the night away on their classic black & white checkered floor or stroll the magnificent grounds for a sunset shoot.
Suiting weddings of up to 325 guests, Shepherd’s Hollow is a great location for both your ceremony and reception. If hosting both on their grounds, the ceremony fee is $2,500, and we recommend taking advantage of their bridal suite for a relaxing and luxurious prep time. Having your preps and event in one location is always a benefit from a scheduling standpoint.
Your vendors will thank you and you’ll have more time for relaxing between events, additional photos, etc. Depending on the time of year, reception costs range from $20,000 to $42,000, which includes food, beverages/bar, linens and other amenities.
