A Grosse Pointe War Memorial Wedding gives us all the vibes from the golden days of Hollywood. From the outdoor veranda to the manicured gardens to the stately Alger House, we love the classic and elegant touches of this historic wedding venue.
One of our best-loved views is from the Crystal Ballroom. Glass walls surround this space so that you and your guests can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake St. Claire.
As filmmakers, some of our favorite moments are when the sun begins to set across the horizon (affectionately known as “golden hour”). When golden hour illuminates the dance floor of the Crystal Ballroom, it’s a moment when everything sparkles, reflecting light in all directions.
Besides the spaces, we’d be remiss to not mention the extraordinary culinary experience. We are foodies, so we appreciate the value of a great meal. You can’t go wrong with the delectable eats The War Memorial has to offer (hint: we recommend the coffee-crusted NY strip on a crostini and Faro Island salmon entrée).
To book The War Memorial, expect facility rental fees of $2,500 with food and beverage minimums starting at $20,000. Ceremony spaces can accommodate up to 200 guests, and an evening ceremony & reception is on a typical timeline of 6 pm to midnight.
